New Industrial Radius ™ BZ1 from Industrial Scientific

The Radius ™ BZ1 is a rugged, transportable device that delivers the most autonomy on the market and is distinguished by new and unique alarm communication capabilities, connectivity and ease of use.
When an alarm event occurs, the Radius BZ1 ensures that workers in industrial environments not only know that the detector is on alarm, but also why, due to sound and visual signals.
The high volume of the audible alarms draw the attention of the workers, even in high noise environments. The large screen, visible even with direct sunlight, makes it easy to read critical information from a safe distance.
Ultra-bright blue and red lights and different alarm tones help workers easily distinguish between critical and non-critical events. In addition, custom alarm action messages, such as "EXIT" or "VENTILATE", allow workers to identify appropriate measures to take depending on the gas concentration.
With the Radius ™ BZ1, Industrial Scientific launches a new, patented wireless communications platform called the LENS ™ Wireless. LENS Wireless is a peer-to-peer communication system that increases worker safety by sharing alarms and gas readings between detectors. LENS Wireless works without the need for settings automatically forming a network that does not require an installation, infrastructure or control unit. Gas readings pass from one detector to the next in order to ensure that hazards are communicated throughout the site. The ease of deploying and using the LENS Wireless wireless network helps workers respond faster and with real-time information when critical gas concentrations emergencies occur.
The Radius ™ BZ1 design allows for easy maintenance thanks to intuitive, simple text navigation and the patent-pending SafeCore ™ module that can be removed. This module incorporates all critical parts such as sensors, software, pump and LENS Wireless. Security personnel can automatically perform reaction tests, calibrations, manage configurations and upgrade firmware through the DSX ™ Docking Station. The SafeCore module's interchangeable feature also allows equipment owners to have a smaller, rotating fleet to ensure continuous field monitoring. Finally, users can rely on accurate measurements and ensure that workers are safe, even when there is a need for longer periods of maintenance-free operation, thanks to the redundant sensors of the patented DualSense® technology available on the Radius ™ BZ1.
