Industrial wireless systems are totally reliable and can be installed in scenarios where electromagnetic noise interferes, without having to worry about communication failures.

The main purpose of the application was to identify and monitor the downtime of approximately 400 machines and the production levels of each machine.
It was possible to carry out an initial test with a single machine to confirm that the digital signals were being acquired correctly. The software was configured and connected to the client's database.
Acquisition modules were installed in each of the glove production machines, which communicate wirelessly with various Wi-Fi Access Points, and these were mounted on an upper armature that exists for passing cables, lighting, etc.
Elsewhere there is an industrial server PC which also has a Wi-Fi card to receive data from all the Access Points. An Ethernet connection then runs from the PC to the Switch and from there to the rest of the factory network, so that the information from the factory floor reaches the customer's database.

Later, after several modules had been installed, the SCADA software was configured. This ensured that the data from the shop floor was communicated to the company's ERP and then displayed on various screens in different locations for workers to see.

As an 802.11n-compatible device, the EKI-6332GN provides data rates 6 times higher than 802.11g devices. This series uses Modbus/TCP to communicate with SCADA software and SNMP to communicate with the NMS (Network Management System) at the same time, thus allowing full control of the devices for both control engineers and IT.
