In many industries such as food & beverage manufacturing and pharmaceuticals it is essential that all equipment is able to satisfy the most stringent cleanliness requirements. With this in mind, Advantech is pleased to announce the release of a new fully sealed IP69K rated stainless steel multi-touch panel PC.

The new 21.5” widescreen IPPC-5211WS touch-panel computer from Advantech is the latest model to use the Intel® Celeron J1900 Quad Core 2.0 GHz Processor and to feature the much heralded iDoor Technology, a truly flat screen and a multitude of lockable IO ports, whilst being able to operate in a wide range of temperatures.

Usually IO ports are locked and waterproofed using M12 connectors, however the IPPC-5211WS uses regular connectors and a special clip for the USB port that is waterproofed when using Flange Adaptor with the Anchor Point. The optional Flange Adaptor, with Rittal Specification connector, seals the IO ports from water ingress and allows the IPPC-5211WS to be attached to foot and arm systems for added flexibility.

Advantages

It can be used in hygienic and harsh environments where the intrusion of dust, condensation and water jets is possible. The IPPC-5211WS’s stainless steel corrosion proof chassis and SGS certified IP69K waterproofing demonstrates an ability to clean the product using water, harsh detergents and acidic/alkaline disinfectants with temperatures of up to 80OC and pressure of up to 30 Bar;
Optional accessory that makes it compatible with Rittal articulated arms for a flexible use;
With an Intel HD Graphics processor and a ratio of 16:9, providing 40% more screen area than 4:3 displays, these models are ideal for displaying more graphics on the screen;
The truly flat and seamless design provides easier maintenance and avoids mis-touches even when wearing gloves.
