MTS Temposonics® R-Series V brings very powerful sensor performance to meet the many demands of your application. The R-Series V is the long-term solution for harsh environments having high levels of shock and vibration. The sensors are available with Profinet RT (Real Time) and IRT (Isochronous Real Time) or EtherNet/IP™. Profinet IRT offers a synchronized communication with a minimum cycle time as fast as 250 µs. For time-critical applications R-Series V with linear extrapolation enables synchronized controller communication for any stroke length of the sensor.
The EtherNet/IP™ sensor supports CIP Sync™ (Common Industrial Protocol) and DLR (Device Level Ring) capabilities. CIP Sync™ offers synchronization between devices in an EtherNet/IP™ network, allowing for increased control coordination in time-critical applications. DLR capability provides a fault-tolerant network so that the sensor can be used in ring connection topologies when reliable continuous system operation is required.
In addition, the sensors are available with internal linearization which offers improved linearity for overall higher accuracy of the position measurement values.
The TempoLink smart assistant is an accessory for the R-Series V family of sensors that supports setup and diagnostics. Depending on the sensor protocol it enables the adjustment of parameters like measurement direction, resolution and filter settings. For diagnostics and analysis of operational data the R-Series V sensors continuously track values such as total distance traveled by the positon magnet, internal temperature of the sensor and the quality of the position signal. This additional information can be read out via TempoLink smart assistant even while the sensor remains operational in the application.
TempoLink smart assistant is connected to the sensor via the power connection, which now adds bidirectional communication for setup and diagnostics. The TempoLink smart assistant is operated using a graphical user-interface that will be displayed on your smartphone, tablet, laptop or PC. Just connect your Wi-Fi-enabled device to TempoLink Wi-Fi access point and go to the website URL for the user-interface.

A F.Fonseca vai organizar em Aveiro nos dias 4 e 5 de dezembro formação de Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
O TPM, acrónimo para Total Productive Maintenance, é um conceito de otimização das atividades de manutenção industrial. Os conceitos TPM aplicados às empresas atuais e à realidade nacional, permitem aumentar o desempenho industrial reduzindo custos e tempos de manutenção acrescentando valor ao cliente e à organização.

Dry Block Calibrator TA-650P from Presys
F.Fonseca presents dry block calibrator TA-650P from Presys.
The TA-650P calibrator performs functions where three different instruments are required: dry block thermal bath, standard thermometer and calibrator for TCs, RTDs, mA, mV, ohms and thermostats. Besides these functions, they have HART® communication protocol, data logger mode, Ethernet interface and USB.
The new advanced line temperature calibrators are the result of more than 20 years of experience in the manufacture of dry block gauges.
Sensor calibration has never been easier thanks to the user-friendly touch-screen display. Enables rapid calibration test report retrieval without the need for specific software installation.

The Emparro ACCUcontrol UPS module rounds out the high-performance Emparro power supply system. In the event of a power failure, it automatically switches to battery operation and prevents machine downtimes. Investing in a UPS system frequently pays for itself the first-time a stoppage is avoided.
The UPS module is available for 20A or 40A systems. Emparro ACCUcontrol can be assembled without the use of tools and is maintenance free. Because it is only 65mm wide, the 20A model needs very little space in the control cabinet.
Emparro ACCUcontrol permanently monitors the internal resistance of connected batteries. If limits are exceeded, the device gives a warning signal over an alarm contact. The battery replacement can then be scheduled for the next maintenance period. This predictive information prevents unplanned failures from happening and keeps you from having to send service technicians into the field for small jobs.
Batteries perform better and they live longer in cooler temperatures. As a result, Emparro ACCUcontrol can charge batteries based on temperature. The charging voltage is adapted to the ambient temperature. This feature allows you to achieve maximum battery life, even in a high temperature environment.
External lead batteries with a capacity of up to 40 Ah ensure a long-lasting bridging period.

Gravadora para trafolite MGS 50 da Murrplastik
A F.Fonseca aprsenta a gravadora trafolite MGS 50 da Murrplastik.
A gravação em etiquetas de trafolite/duomatt é um dos métodos de rotulagem mais utilizados na indústria e nos quadros elétricos. Esta é uma solução duradoura e resistente a ambientes extremos, é também económica e confere uma visibilidade na leitura que torna este método diferenciador dos demais sistemas de identificação.
A gravadora MGS 50 da Murrplastik é um sistema de rotulagem muito flexível, fácil de manusear e de transportar. Permite a gravação em plástico com dupla camada de cor, vulgarmente conhecido como trafolite (DM/DMG), mas também em alumínio (ALU/ALM).
O sistema de gravação MGS 50 utiliza um conceito baseado em plotter com uma cabeça de gravação que pode utilizar fresas de várias medidas, utilizadas para obter acabamentos diferenciados. Este sistema de gravação vem dotado de um display digital para controlo da profundidade de gravação que possui uma resolução de 0,025mm.
Com a MGS 50 é possível gravar folhas de trafolite até ao tamanho máximo de 300mm por 200mm.
Estas folhas de trafolite podem ser pré-cortadas à medida, com furos para fixação ou autoadesivas, com esquinas em ângulo ou arredondadas. O software para etiquetagem é gratuito e de utilização intuitiva, permitindo total autonomia na elaboração das identificações necessárias numa instalação ou quadro elétrico.

In this edition we have several novelties! The main highlight is, undoubtedly, F.Fonseca’s new brand, Techman Robot. In this edition, not only can you read articles about the collaborative robots TM5, TM12, TM14 and the series TM-M, but also about the “Techman Robot Day” event that occurred in the past September 20th and was a huge success, with almost a hundred participants.

Extremely short cylinder sensor for pneumatic grippers and miniature cylinders.
The MZCG magnetic cylinder sensor detects the piston position in pneumatic grippers and pneumatic miniature cylinders. Thanks to its very small design, the MZCG is particularly well-suited for the C-slots of very small pneumatic actuators such as are used in handling and assembly, robotics or the electronics industry. The sensor is simply inserted in the C-slot and can be quickly and safely fastened on the cylinder. The MZCG fits in a wide range of C-slots of various manufacturers due to its universal housing design. This reduces storage costs, enables flexible machine design and easier service.

The MZCG magnetic cylinder sensor from SICK is specially designed for the detection of piston position in pneumatic grippers and miniature cylinders with C-slots, which are used in handling and assembly, robotics and the electronics industry, to name a few examples. The MZCG fits in a wide range of C-slots of the most common gripper and cylinder manufacturers due to its universal housing design. This reduces storage costs, enables flexible machine design and simplifies service.
Quick and easy mounting, minimal space requirements
Thanks to the universal construction, the MZCG can be easily inserted into the C-slot from above. The new fixing concept with a non-detachable screw ensures quick and secure fixing in C-slots. A housing of only 12.2 mm and a 90° rotated radial cable connection allows flexible mounting if space is tight. In spite of the small construction, the sensor ensures maximum functionality at minimum weight.
The fields of applications for this sensor are open-close position detection in pneumatic grippers; end position detection in pneumatic miniature cylinders for electronics, handling and assembly (e.g. small part assembly), robotics and packaging industries.

F.Fonseca will organize a new edition of Pneumatics II training in Aveiro on September 21, 22 and 29.
