Automation barriers

Measuring automation light grids - SICK

Measuring automation light grids are ideal for more complex applications. They come in several different beam separation options, a range of detection heights and output configurations. These light grids can be used for material handling on conveyors, automated storage and retrieval system applications, order fulfilment, and more. For example, in pallet verification applications, maximum height and pallet overhang can be measured. This data can be forwarded to the PLC via bus systems.

Measuring light grid MLG-2 Pro - SICK

Maximum performance in terms of response time, resolution, and object detection.
SICK's optical measurement barriers come with a choice of beam separation, detection heights, and different output configurations.
These optical barriers can be used in material handling on conveyors, automatic storage and retrieval applications, order fulfillment and more. For example, in pallet verification applications, the maximum height and protrusions can be measured. This data can be routed to the PLC via communication buses.

Smart light grid - SICK

The smart light grid product family includes smart area sensors, smart gate sensors and smart pick-to-light-sensor light grids.
At only 8 mm x 25 mm, they fit nearly anywhere and can be embedded inside walls, doors, conveyors, and machines. Slim and flat versions are available. They can be ordered in 120 to 1,400 mm lengths in a plastic or aluminum housing. Auto-muting, the teach-in button and an alignment aid ensure longer operating time.

Switching automation light grids - SICK

Switching light grids from SICK for a variety of applications.

Switching light grids from SICK are equipped with various technologies and can be used in a variety of applications: the detection and counting of irregular objects, presence and protrusion monitoring, and all this in very different installation situations or environmental conditions. Whether the application requires small beam separations, high ambient light immunity, large ranges, varying monitoring heights or very thin housing dimensions, the switching light grids will meet your requirements.

Switching automation light grids SLG-2– SICK

The SLG-2 is an automation light grid for various detection and measuring tasks. It features two optics variants: One with frontal and one with side light emission. They allow for the narrow light grid housing to be integrated into almost any application.
The SLG-2 has no blind zones and is available with detection heights from 100 mm to 2,400 mm.
Thanks to the 9x cross-beam function, the light grid achieves very high resolution and reliably detects even very thin objects. The Smart Tasks and the powerful IO-Link COM3 interface make processing of measurement data in the device possible. The detailed diagnostic information of the SLG-2 can be used for condition-based device maintenance.
