F.Fonseca presents Advantech's AMAX-5580 advanced programmable controllers
Advantech's AMAX-5580 consists of advanced PC-based controllers powered by CODESYS, the PLC software control core with Industrial Ethernet and Fieldbus for TO applications.
To provide comprehensive control solutions, Advantech also offers flexible expansion options, including Industrial Ethernet I/O, peripheral I/O, slice I/O and distributed I/O modules. In addition, platform diagnostic information, such as CPU temperature and utilization, has been incorporated into the CODESYS environment, thus increasing the reliability of the equipment.
The advantages include easy data access with IT/OT integration, uplink connectivity with MQTT, OPC UA and ODBC (database) via the Advantech CODESYS expansion and the CODESYS agent service developed by the team. Advantech CODESYS Agent integrates third-party software for data transmission via symbols (PLC Handler) and shared memory (C/C++/C#). In addition, Advantech's WISE-PaaS platform can be leveraged for field management, improving productivity and equipment flexibility, such as the online upgrade of the SoftMotion and CNC Robotics license from the Advantech WISE-Marketplace.
