F.Fonseca promotes the latest technological trends with Advantech Solutions

Last September, F.Fonseca held the Advantech Solutions event, in the cities of Aveiro and Lisbon, where it made known to its Customers the latest trends in Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things.

The event was attended by a total of around 90 guests, including Customers, suppliers and special guests.

Advantech Solutions aimed, in addition to promoting the latest trends and cutting edge technologies at the level of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things (IOT), to strengthen the ties of F. Fonseca's Clients with Advantech, giving them the opportunity to know a little bit better your reality.

The opening session addressed the themes of Advantech, the world's main driver, by Paola Gambino, Advantech's manager for Spain and Portugal; Market needs and demands, and How can we help with automation?, both by Marco Zampolli, sales manager at Advantech.

Alongside the representatives of F.Fonseca and Advantech, the panel of speakers also had two F.Fonseca Customers and the special participation of an international representative of Intel in Spain and Portugal, Ivan Alvarez, who held a very special approach to the theme of the event. How to choose CPU performance?

The event also featured the presentation of a Portuguese success story: Controlauto, by Afonso Lopes, its infrastructure and development director, as well as Nuno Soutinho, product manager at F.Fonseca. “This year, we decided that, a topic as in vogue as Industry 4.0 and the IOT, two buzzwords of the European and world industry, justified to be addressed to our Customers; and, within our portfolio of brands, Advantech is, worldwide, one of the biggest players in this area; within Taiwan companies, it is the number one company at an industrial level”, says Helder Lemos, business manager at F.Fonseca.

According to Nuno Soutinho “this event aimed, precisely, to clarify some markets about the area of ​​IOT and Industry 4.0. Some people are still behind, in relation, for example, to sending data to a cloud, critical data that is exposed, despite the existence of security systems that prevent it; and we wanted to bring our Customers and people interested in this topic here, to show them our exhibitors with some demos and, in this way, explain the brand's potential.”

The event ended with a fantastic segway experience, also this technology and already pointed out as a preferred means of transport in the future!
Guests were able to experience what it's like to ride a segway, test their balance and control this two-wheeled equipment with the movement of the body.

The balance could not have been more positive!
