F.Fonseca showcases innovative PPS13 application at EMAF
F.Fonseca took part in EMAF – International Trade Fair for Machinery, Equipment and Services for Industry, where it presented an application developed under PPS13 of the GreenAuto Agenda. This project, led by F.Fonseca in collaboration with STREAK - Automation Engineering, Lda, the University of Coimbra, and Stellantis Mangualde, aims to drive advanced automation solutions for a more sustainable automotive industry.
At the fair, a collaborative robotics system applied to the automotive assembly line was demonstrated. In this simulation, a collaborative robot carried out the tightening of a cross member, one of the structural components of light commercial vehicles, using 3D vision technology to ensure maximum precision and quality.
The integration of collaborative robotics in production processes represents a decisive step towards increasing operational efficiency, enhancing operator safety, and promoting the sustainability of the sector.
This solution is yet another example of F.Fonseca’s and its partners’ commitment within the GreenAuto Agenda to technological innovation and industrial automation, reinforcing the consortium’s role as a driver of transformation in the Portuguese automotive industry.
