We donated over 600 toys!
It is with our hearts full that we say: We have donated more than 600 toys! This solidarity campaign was a real success!
The solidarity campaign “Take a Nicolau to each Child” was developed with the imminent focus on needy children and on how a simple gesture could make such a difference and generate so many smiles! It was with this objective, and inspired by the joy we would provide, that the initiative began to take shape:
Initially, it was intended only for F.Fonseca employees, but it quickly gained wings and was extended to include employees' families, friends, friends of friends, Customers, suppliers, partners, acquaintances and strangers. And it was thanks to everyone's generosity that, between December 1 and 15, 2017, we managed to collect 624 toys.
With the campaign taking shape, after selecting, arranging, washing, wrapping, packaging and boxing the toys, we moved on to the final phase of delivering them to our small, large recipients.
Fortunately, the number of toys that F. Fonseca had initially imagined was surpassed on a large scale, so not only did we help the Florinhas do Vouga association, from Aveiro, as initially planned, but we also managed to help the Ahma association, from Albergaria-a-Velha.
We were welcomed with open arms and with lots of smiles, we realized sadder realities that we are not used to dealing with, realities completely different from truly special children. We managed to generate the smiles that we so longed for and that gave birth to the campaign, but above all we realized, once again, that together we make a difference.
F.Fonseca sincerely thanks all the availability, solidarity, generosity and spirit of sharing shown by all those who embraced this first solidarity campaign.
