SUCCESS CASE
An ultra-modern development, both in terms of architecture and construction and equipment. It is undoubtedly a successful project, of enormous importance and a key factor in keeping pace with the evolution of the Angolan economy.

With an innovative concept in the office sector, Cidade Financeira, located in Talatona - Luanda Sul, was built on an area of around 25.000 m². This important development consists of four office buildings forming a central square, occupied by banking and financial institutions.

On the first floor there is a convention center, training academy, restaurant, gymnasium, pre-school space, among others. The residential building is for the employees of the banking institutions that have their offices there.
Project: Talatona financial city – Luanda, Angola
Sector: Building Technologies
Highlight product:
Gesis® - Wieland Electric
Final client: Finicapital-Investimentos and Gestão, SA (BPA and Millenium BCP)
Integrator: Mota-Engil Electromecânica, S.A.

There are 5 buildings in total, 4 office buildings and 1 residential building. Each of these buildings has 7 floors on top of the ground, with a total area of 93,000m2 and an investment of 78 million euros. Work was completed in 2014.

In the office buildings, the aim was to leave all the spaces open-plan, so that they could then be adjusted according to the occupants. The aim was therefore to have an extremely flexible and easy-to-maintain electrification solution for sockets and lighting. As this was a project to be carried out in very short timeframes, it was also important to build and test the electrical installation off-site, so that everything could then be connected as quickly as possible. Given the quality of the workforce in Angola, it was a great asset to have an error-free electrification solution with easy circuit identification. All this was achieved with Wieland Electric's gesis® solution.

The specialties design office, already well acquainted with the gesis® solution, only had the support of F.Fonseca in the tailor-made construction of the distribution boxes for supplying sockets and luminaires.

We provided the inspection body with all the necessary support to confirm and technically validate the gesis® solution mentioned by the specialties office.
The project manager was guaranteed the necessary support for the installed equipment after the work was completed.
It was with the electrical installer that F.Fonseca's support was even more important, also due to the physical distance between the companies. Architectural plans were provided, along with the distribution of light fittings and sockets so that the entire solution could be dimensioned. Every building, every floor, every circuit, every luminaire and every socket in the project was analyzed. Once all the references had been taken into account, we relied on the manufacturer's commitment to produce the solution according to the dimensions, always guaranteeing the high quality standards that are customary at Wieland Electric.

The materials were delivered within the stipulated deadlines, which was essential for the perfect fulfillment of the project.

In the end, the excellent work of all those involved in this project was confirmed, as it was all completed in an exemplary manner, becoming a new world reference.

gesis® Indoor – Série GST18® – Wieland Electric
Plug&Play – tudo pode estar conectado!

An innovative idea emerged at Wieland Electric that revolutionized electrical installations - the gesis® system. Quality at the highest level, long-lasting components and convincing savings of 70% in installation time and 30% in costs!

The different gesis® product series complement each other perfectly, making electrical installation simple and economical, from the switchboard to each terminal point.

With regard to the power supply for the sockets, the circuits from the electrical panel to each terminal point were dimensioned. Each point was supplied with a circuit for emergency sockets and another for normal sockets. Different colors were chosen for each type of circuit - black for normal sockets and white for emergency sockets. GST18 series 3-pole connectors and distribution boxes were used. Each box consisted of 1 input and 5 outputs. In the case of lighting, the switchboard outputs were made up of 5 poles. The first distribution of the lighting circuits was also 5-pole, for which we designed a distribution box with 1 input and 5 outputs. Distribution boxes with three-phase inputs and single-phase outputs were used to supply the luminaires, so that the loads were evenly separated at each point. Some of the fittings were also fitted with gesis® male connectors for direct connection to the distribution boxes. On one of the floors, a DALI protocol flow regulation system was also developed, where, using the same philosophy, bespoke distribution boxes with 1 input and 5 outputs were built to carry this communication to the respective armatures. This equipment was also fitted with gesis® male connectors.
