Free chlorine sensor tecLine CL2 - JUMO
The tecLine CL2 from JUMO is a membrane-covered, amperometric sensor designed to precisely measure free chlorine concentrations in various water types, including drinking water, swimming pool water, industrial water, process water, and cooling water. This sensor can be directly interfaced with compatible display and control units.
Utilizing an amperometric measurement principle with a protective membrane, the sensor effectively detects free chlorine originating from inorganic disinfectants such as chlorine gas (Cl₂), electrolytically generated chlorine, sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), calcium hypochlorite (Ca(OCl)₂), and chlorinated lime (Ca(OCl)Cl). It is not suitable for confirming the absence of free chlorine.

The sensor is equipped with integrated electronics that provide a temperature-compensated output signal. Depending on the variant, this can be either a standard analog current signal (4–20 mA) or a digital Modbus RTU signal. Calibration is carried out via an external device such as an indicator, controller, recorder, or PLC. The sensor is compatible with a wide range of JUMO indicating devices, transmitters, and controllers, which supply the required operating voltage and facilitate user-friendly calibration.
