OB ULT ultra low temperature calibration baths - Kambič

The Kambič OB ULT series comprises high-performance liquid calibration baths designed for ultra-low temperature calibration from -90 °C to +130 °C. The circulating fluid provides efficient thermal transfer around the device under test, while the double-cylinder construction and vertical flow pattern support temperature stability and uniformity in the millikelvin range throughout the working volume.

Available with nominal working volumes of 22 L, 50 L and 200 L, the series accommodates temperature sensors and thermometers with different dimensions, including long probes requiring immersion depths of up to 650 mm. The mobile, standalone construction is intended for metrology laboratories and industrial calibration environments requiring repeatable low-temperature performance and flexible probe loading.

  • Working volumes of approximately 22 L, 50 L or 200 L, with immersion depths of 500 mm or 650 mm;
  • Special double-cylinder bath design with vertical fluid circulation across the complete working volume;
  • Air-cooled cascade compressor refrigeration system for ultra-low temperature operation;
  • PID temperature control with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen and advanced programme functions;
  • Ethernet and USB interfaces for communication, data transfer and remote operation;
  • OB-Tool PC software included for remote control, real-time graphing and process history review;
  • AISI 304 stainless-steel interior and exterior surfaces with rounded corners;

  • Integrated overtemperature protection, overflow collection and fluid drain system;
  • Mobile standalone unit with braked swivel castors and four-sided maintenance access.

Advantages
  • Liquid-medium calibration ensures direct and consistent heat transfer around probes, including sensors with non-standard geometries;
  • High stability and uniformity reduce uncertainty contributions associated with the temperature source during comparison calibration;
  • Large chamber dimensions and dedicated fixtures allow simultaneous calibration of multiple probes and long-stem instruments;
  • The three available bath sizes enable capacity to be matched to the required workload, probe dimensions and immersion depth;
  • Programme control, data visualisation and remote operation support repeatable calibration procedures and simplify test documentation;
  • Stainless-steel construction, accessible maintenance areas and integrated drainage facilitate routine operation and servicing.

Applications
  • Accredited and industrial temperature calibration laboratories;
  • Aerospace, automotive and electronics test laboratories;
  • Calibration of resistance thermometers, thermocouples, temperature probes and liquid-in-glass thermometers;
  • Energy, chemical and process industries requiring traceable low-temperature measurements;
  • Food and beverage process instrumentation and cold-chain verification;
  • Manufacturers and service organisations responsible for sensor characterisation and calibration;
  • Pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life-science temperature metrology.
