RTD – F.Fonseca Temperature Sensors
Thermoresistances, also known as RTD (Resistance Temperature Detectors), are temperature sensors made of high temperature coefficient electrical resistance metals.
RTD temperature sensors are typically identified by the material of which they are constituted and by the resistance they present at 0°C. The most commonly used nominal values are Pt100, Pt500 and Pt1000. The various rated values, output characteristic dependent on temperature and tolerances are specified in DIN EN 60751.
