Never has it made more sense to help: F.Fonseca maintains support for Operação Nariz Vermelho

In a year in which health was one of the most valued factors, in 2020 F.Fonseca maintained its support for Operação Nariz Vermelho based on the annual study on measuring customer satisfaction. For each questionnaire answered online, within the announced deadline, € 5 reverted to support this cause. The action made it possible to raise a total of € 660, already delivered to the institution on the 26th of January 2021. This support was received with immense gratitude, since they, too, lived the effects of the pandemic very closely. The Operação Nariz Vermelho mission is to bring joy to hospitalized children, their families and health professionals, through the art and image of Doctors Clowns and whose donations become big smiles! F.Fonseca presents electromagnetic flowmeter all metal stainless steel MIM from Kobold   The flowmeter MIM was developed for measuring and monitoring smaller and medium-sized flow of conductive liquids in pipes.   The device operates according to the electromagnetic measurement principle. According to Faraday’s Law of magnetic induction, a voltage is induced in a conductor moving through a magnetic field. The electrically conductive measuring agent acts as the moved conductor. The voltage induced in the measuring agent is proportional to the flow velocity and is therefore a value for the volumetric flow. The flowing media must have a minimum conductivity. The induced voltage is picked up by two sensing electrodes, which are in contact with the measuring agent, and sent to the measuring amplifier. The flow rate will be calculated based on the cross sectional area of the pipe. The measurement is not depending on the process liquid and its material properties such as density, viscosity and temperature. Two given outputs can be set to be switch, analogue or frequency. Also a dosing function can be selected, where output 1 is set as switch NPN/PNP/PP and output 2 is set as a control input.

What you need to know about gas hazards in pulp and paper mills   Most of us have been scribbling on paper longer than we can remember. And throughout every day, we use paper products of all types. Cereal boxes, paper towels, toilet paper, magazines, fast food wrappers, paper bags, printer paper, wallpaper—the list of paper products we encounter in a day is endless!   However, not many of us ever stop to think about the process that turns trees into those paper products we count on. And we certainly don’t stop to think about the dangers that are part of the process for making those products.   The reality is that the same paper mills that create harmless household products have some serious hazards in the production process. Some of those gas hazards include:   Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) Carbon monoxide (CO) Chlorine (Cl2) Chlorine dioxide (ClO2) Sulfur dioxide (SO2)   The paper-making process starts when the wood is stripped and ground into chips. Those wood chips are then broken down with steam, pressure, and chemicals in digester units. As the wood is broken down, the pulp is separated out—this is where you could be exposed to hydrogen sulfide gas.   Once the pulp has been separated out, it may go through several bleaching processes where chlorine and chlorine dioxide transform the original brown slurry into the bright white shade that we often think of when we envision paper. To remove excess chlorine from the bleaching process, sulfur dioxide is used to wash the pulp and help maintain the color in the paper after it is bleached.   Hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, chlorine, and chlorine dioxide can all be extremely dangerous, even in relatively low concentrations. Like many other industrial processes, paper making also requires boilers that power the operation—and any time there is combustion, you could be exposed to carbon monoxide gas.   The Best Gas Monitoring Programs for Pulp and Paper Mills So how we can make paper manufacturing safer? Radius BZ1 Area Monitors can be positioned as fence line monitors or placed throughout the process areas to monitor for gases, especially during turnaround periods when significant maintenance is being performed. F.Fonseca presents dry well calibrator ADT875-1210 from Additel   ADT875-1210 is the new dry block calibrator from Additel for temperatures up to 1210ºC. With this calibrator, Additel reinforces its line of dry block calibrators. It combines excellent stability, radial and axial uniformity, with speed. With the PC option was added the ability to read 4 temperature channels with a process calibrator. In the higher precision ADT878 series, the values of axial and radial accuracy and uniformity improve in order to obtain reference performances in the calibration of thermocouples.   The calibrator ADT875-1210 has a range of use from 100º to 1210ºC, resolution of 0.01ºC, precision of ± 2.0ºC (ADT878-1210 @ 1210ºC ± 1.5ºC) and stability of ± 0.1ºC in the entire scale. The process calibrator (PC) option combines the many functions of a HART process calibrator with a temperature calibrator. With this option there’s the ability to calibrate S|R|K|B|N|E|J|T|L|U thermocouples and to read mA, V signal channels, switches or transmitters. Additionally, the calibrator allows to create tasks and communicate through HART. It also allows you to capture screen images for future needs at the touch of a button. It is possible to control the calibrator by the reference probe or the internal probe. Calibration tasks can be programmed and recorded in order to facilitate calibration work in the field, and the calibrator can be controlled remotely.
