Level sensors

Bypass level indicator NBK - Kobold

Kobold bypass level indicators are used for continuous measurement, display and monitoring of liquid levels. The bypass tube is attached onto the side wall of the vessel. According to the law of communicating tubes, the level in the bypass tube equals the level in the vessel. A float with embedded circular magnets that is inside the bypass tube follows the liquid level and transfers that information, in a non-contacting manner, to a display fitted outside the tube or to a monitoring device.

Capacitive Level Limit Switch NSC - KOBOLD

The KOBOLD level monitor devices model NSC are used for the monitoring of minimum and maximum levels in silos and depots. They are working on the capacitive principle and can be supplied in two different designs. They are suitable for various installation conditions. The level monitoring device NSC-R is supplied with a rigid stainless-steel probe with a PTFE coating.

This model is mostly used for monitoring the maximum level. For small silos and low bulk densities the short version can also be installed on the side for controlling of the minimum level. The level monitor device NSC-C consists of a stainless-steel probe body, which is connected to the connection box by means of a steel cable coated with polypropylene.

Integrated multi-sensor fluid level monitoring LiDoTT® - Detectronic

Unique multi-sensor device delivers consistent high quality level data across a wide range of operating conditions and switches seamlessly to provide continuous depth data under blockage or surcharge conditions.

LIDoTT® integrates level, depth and temperature sensors into one compact device. LIDoTT® delivers high-quality data throughout normal dry-weather and wet-weather or blockage induced surcharge conditions.

Level floaters - Kobold

In industrial and commercial tanking systems, the level of the tanks must be monitored continuously in most cases. The level within the tanks can be checked and controlled by means of various level sensors and level gauges. The filling of tanks and silos can be displayed at various points via different level indicators and can thus be monitored.

Magnetic level sensors for liquids, Series M - Kobold

Magnetic level sensors are used for the monitoring and control of liquid levels in vessels and manufactured according to every customer specification.

Kobold magnetic float sensors are fitted with a hermetically sealed contact which is situated in the tube;
The float sliding on the tube contains a whose magnetic field sensor the sealed contact in a non-contacting fashion. The sealed contacts are available as N/O, N/C or changeover contacts;

The float sliding up and down on the liquid is the only moving part in the Kobold magnetic float sensors.

Plastic level switch for liquids NKP - Kobold

The plastic level switch NKP is designed for economical control of liquids in vessels. Many industrial applications can be realized with two different plastic versions each with three different mountings. The switch is remarkable for its maintenance-free design, small dimensions and reed contacts with high switch capacity.

The switch is mounted on the side of the vessel. A hinged plastic float with a magnet floats up and down through the liquid level. The encapsulated reed contact is operated by the magnet. The switching function (N/O contact / N/C contact) is determined by the installation position. The switching function is reversed by simply rotating the switch through 180°.

Rotating vane level monitor NIR-9 - Kobold

The NIR-9 level monitor is suitable for wide applications for bulks and solids in silos and hoppers. Regardless of humidity and conductivity of the product, the maximum or minimum level is controlled reliably.

A motor drives a rotating vane that is extended into the tank by means of a shaft. As soon as the bulk reaches the rotating vane, it’s rotation is blocked. Hereby, a microswitch is actuated, wich gives out an alarm signal and a second microswitch turns off the motor. If the filling level decreases, the rotating vane is released again and the force of a spring pulls the motor back to its original position.

SZM Bypass level indicator - Kobold

As an indicator of levels in small and medium-sized, upright or horizontal, round vessels, the SZM is particularly recommended for use in the food industry, water treatment and the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

The SZM type glass tube level indicator is applicable for the indication of liquid level in small and middle-sized, standing or lying round containers used in food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. The loads occurring at the installation are absorbed by the outer armature, thus the glass tube is protected against breaking.

Titanium Level Probe MAERA S29 SW - Jumo

This latest innovation is especially sturdy and durable as it is designed primarily for use in salt water or water that contains chloride in maritime applications or in swimming pool technology. The device is also designed for potentially explosive areas.

The chemically high-resistant titanium design and the intrinsically safe ATEX approval allow the probe to be used in difficult environmental conditions.
The level probe has a medium-separated, piezo-resistive measuring system with front-flush membrane. It stands out due to its optimum moisture and vibration protection.

Ultrasonic level and open channel flow meter NUS-4 - Kobold

The Kobold ultrasonic level meter, model NUS-4, is used for non-contact, continuous level and volume measurement in vessels or for flow measurement in open channels. Level measurement technology based on the non-contacting ultrasonic principle is especially suited for applications where, for any reason, no physical contact can be established to the surface of the material to be measured.

Such reasons may include corrosive attack by the process medium against the measuring device material (acids), possible contamination (sewage) or particles of the process medium adhering to the measuring device (adhesive materials). The ultrasonic level metering technology is based on the principle of measuring the time required for the ultrasound pulses to make a round trip from the sensor to the level to be measured and back.

Ultrassonic level transmitter NUS-7 - Kobold

The NUS-7 is a liquid level transmitter, measuring by the non-contacting ultrassonic principle. Rugged, high performance ultrassonic level measurement transmitter, having transducer and processing electronics incorporated in one single housing.
