Ultrasonic gas meter FLOWSIC600 - Endress+Hauser

Every day natural gas flows in great quantities through pipelines or into storage facilities, thus changing owners. Precise gas quantity measurement is of the utmost importance, as even very small measurement errors could result in substantial economic loss. In addition, challenging ambient measurement conditions often play a decisive role. Moisture, ice, cold, heat and desert sand place great demands on the instruments in the field. This is why a gas flow meter is needed that is both accurate and reliable.

Ultrasonic level and open channel flow meter NUS-4 - Kobold

The Kobold ultrasonic level meter, model NUS-4, is used for non-contact, continuous level and volume measurement in vessels or for flow measurement in open channels. Level measurement technology based on the non-contacting ultrasonic principle is especially suited for applications where, for any reason, no physical contact can be established to the surface of the material to be measured.

Such reasons may include corrosive attack by the process medium against the measuring device material (acids), possible contamination (sewage) or particles of the process medium adhering to the measuring device (adhesive materials). The ultrasonic level metering technology is based on the principle of measuring the time required for the ultrasound pulses to make a round trip from the sensor to the level to be measured and back.

Ultrasonic level sensor UP56 – SICK

Tough, non-contact, pressure-resistant.
The product family UP56 of ultrasonic level sensors is the ideal solution for demanding applications. The teflon-protected transducer handles overpressure up to 6 bar (87 psi) and is resistant against numerous difficult fluids.

Wetted parts can be chosen either as stainless steel or PVDF, thus making the ultrasonic level sensor UP56, da SICK, the perfect solution for measurement in aggressive, viscous, or abrasive liquids, or bulk solids. By combining two output signals in one device, new cost-effective solutions can be created for measurement and integration into the system. With two switching outputs, the level sensor UP56 can measure dry running and overflow in one device.

Ultrasonic level transmitter AUL730 series - ALIA

The AUL730 series is a fixed mounted ultrasonic level transmitter used for non-invasive measurement. The microprocessor based, user friendly, field programmable level measurement technique, allows no interruption of the process level and has low installation costs.

Ultrasonic portable and stationary flow meter for liquids DUC - Kobold

Clamp-On Ultrasonic Flow Measurement from DN 10 to DN 6000
The portable DUC-MP and the stationary DUC-MF (designed for continuous flow measurement), are very accurate and drift-free operating flowmeters for liquids in filled pipes. The devices operate absolutely hygienically and are leak proof. The monitoring of all aggressive and toxic liquids can be done without any problem.

Special advantage: The ultrasonic sensors are strapped from the outside on the pipe in the clamp-on method.
A cutting of the pipe is not required for installation. Similarly there is no requirement for process shutdown. In this way, the operating costs can be significantly reduced.

Ultrassonic flowmeter with IO-Link DUK - Kobold

Whether in the pharmaceutical industry, water treatment or food production: If non-conductive media flow in a chemical process, ultrasonic flow meters are usually installed for monitoring. For monitoring the measuring devices require short response times and a high degree of calibration freedom, otherwise incorrect metering or insufficient repeat accuracy will occur.

The maintenance-free ultrasonic flowmeter type DUK with the newly developed C3T0 compact electronics from KOBOLD Messring GmbH provides a remedy here. Due to the extensive possibilities for on-site programming, the DUK is suitable for cross-industry use for diverse media.

Ultrassonic level transmitter NUS-7 - Kobold

The NUS-7 is a liquid level transmitter, measuring by the non-contacting ultrassonic principle. Rugged, high performance ultrassonic level measurement transmitter, having transducer and processing electronics incorporated in one single housing.

Variable area flowmeter glass cone UVR/UTR - Kobold

The flow meters and switches model UVR and UTR for liquids and air operate on suspended float principle: that is, the installation position is vertical and the direction of flow is from bottom to top.

The instruments have been designed as simple and thus economical measuring systems. The float for UVR and UTR is a bomb from float, whereby the indication point is the top of float. The appliance is available with or without needle valve as well.

Viscosity compensated flow meter VKM – KOBOLD

The KOBOLD flowmeters and switches model VKM have a spring-loaded float, which slides within a cylindrical measuring tube and has an integral orifice which is believed to be unique. This and other design features mean that it has for the first time become possible to create a flowmeter and switch which fully compensates for viscosity and to a large extent for density even with very low flows.

The float of these patented devices contains a permanent magnet which actuates a potential free bistable reed contact mounted outside the flow thus ensuring hermetic separation between the medium and the electrical contact system. The contact is embedded within a height-adjustable plastic housing to prevent damage to the contacts by mechanical action or aggressive atmospheres.
