Safety laser scanners - SICK

SICK safety laser scanners – setting the standard throughout the world.
Safety laser scanners can be used in a wide range of mobile or stationary applications, including non-contact area monitoring and access protection. Like an optical radar, the compact system scans its surroundings in a fan shape and measures distances by using the time-of-flight principle of measurement. The integrated rotating mirror creates a two-dimensional scan for measuring contours.

The CDS configuration and diagnostics software is used to define protective field areas and program logical switching.

The optional escape release enables unlocking of the locking device from the hazardous area.

Safety locking devices – SICK

Electro-mechanical safety switches economically and reliably monitor movable guards. SICK'S portfolio of electro-mechanical safety switches contains four product groups: safety position switches, safety hinge switches, safety switches with separate actuator and safety locking devices. This enables users to choose the appropriate solution for a variety of different applications. When combined with sens: Control – safe control solutions – SICK offers complete solutions from a single source.

Safety locking devices are used for keeping guards safely locked until a hazardous area can be entered.

Safety Mirror and device columns - SICK

Free choice of space for the safety: Mirror and device columns from SICK are used in applications where it is difficult to mount optoelectronic protective devices. Used together, mirror and device columns are the ideal solution to protect multi-sided areas in machining centres or material transfer applications.

The optoelectronic devices can be mounted to freestanding device columns to ensure hazardous areas are properly safeguarded. Mirror columns are used in conjunction with device columns to deflect the beam
from the sender to the receiver. Since multiple sides of a machine can be protected with a single pair of devices, the overall wiring is reduced. In addition to reliable device protection, the device columns have two external mounting grooves, which enable muting arms to be installed.

Safety position switch - SICK

Electro-mechanical safety switches economically and reliably monitor movable guards. SICK´S portfolio of electro-mechanical safety switches contains four product groups: safety position switches, safety hinge switches, safety switches with separate actuator and safety locking devices. This enables users to choose the appropriate solution for a variety of different applications. When combined with sens: Control – safe control solutions – SICK offers complete solutions from a single source.

SICK safety position switches are used for reliably identifying dangerous movements, even at high speeds.

All types of safety sensors can be connected with the SICK safety relays. The extensive assortment delivers appropriate solutions for versatile applications.

Safety switch with magnetic locking MLP1 - SICK

The MLP1 is a transponder safety switch with magnetic locking which ensures reliable process protection for partially or fully automated production systems. It works with non-contact actuators and is used to monitor movable physical guards. Thanks to reliable door monitoring (Performance Level e), the MLP1 ensures a high level of safety of machine systems without overrun movement, preventing unauthorized access and therefore unplanned process interruption.

Sensor for magnetic line guidance MLS – SICK

The MLS is a magnetic line guidance sensor for navigating automated guided vehicles and carts. Navigation is done by aligning the sensor to the center of the magnetic line. Sensor positions are transmitted to the vehicle control via a CANopen interface.

The sensor reliably differentiates between up to three lines. The vehicle can therefore maneuver through branches and line junctions with no problem. When selecting the magnetic band and the installation height, the MLS allows for a lot of freedom and is available in various variants with different detection ranges. This enables high flexibility when it comes to design and retrofitting. Magnetic marks for additional vehicle commands can be attached to the side next to the line.
